Ming Pei

I am Ming Pei, a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, advised by Professor Xiao Luo. I am also pursuing an M.S. in Computer Sciences at UW–Madison.

My research interests lie broadly in large language models (LLMs) and artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on retrieval-augmented systems, uncertainty quantification, and conformal inference for LLMs. My current research focuses on improving the reliability and trustworthiness of large language models through statistical machine learning.
